Last week, I had a pre-recorded interview with BFM radio which was aired on Thursday November 17, 2011. I talked about Amanah and shared my views on PPSMI. The podcast is available for download here at BFM website.

People has been asking me about the timing of recently approved AMANAH. As a matter of fact, I did talk about it in last year's interview with BFM which was aired a day after Merdeka day. I also share my thoughts and views on many topics and issues

  • corruption, rule of law, the opposition, UMNO, the mass media.
  • the possibility of BN as a multi-racial party, a new multiracial NGO and the role of Perkasa.
  • Petronas, education, oil royalties, the Petroleum Devt Act, the NEM and affirmative action.

The impetus for the Independent Power Producers (IPP) programme in Malaysia In the early 1990s was several as noted in an article by Jeff Rector entitled "The IPP Investment Experience In Malaysia". "Malaysia's economic expansion created a surging need for power" in terms of industrialization and continued Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the country. Tenaga National Berhad's (TNB) monopoly on generation was dismantled following a massive blackout in 1992 and the IPP programme was aggressively pushed forward to "restore an adequate safety margin of capacity and to ensure that the country could meet its anticipated future power needs.

However the new capacity "grossly overshot demand growth" and several months before the Asian financial crisis struck Malaysia, Peninsular Malaysia had almost 50% surplus capacity."

Beliau berkata, setiap jentera parti jangan menganggap PRU-13 masih lambat kerana keputusan mengadakan pilihan raya berkenaan terletak pada kuasa Perdana Menteri (PM), Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

GUA MUSANG, Oct 27  (Bernama) -- Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said the selection of Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates in Gua Musang for the coming general election was made by the Umno division committee, without his intervention.

He said this included his own position as the incumbent Member of Parliament for Gua Musang. Tengku Razaleigh, who is also the Gua Musang division chief, said the committee members were given full power to select through voting on the candidates who could win a big majority.

"At the division's monthly meeting last month, we voted on the list of candidates selected by the people to contest as BN candidates for the Gua Musang parliamentary seat and the three state seats of Galas, Paloh and Nenggiri.
